Paid Featuring and Advertising Policy

1. Featured placement is a one-time purchase

You buy a fixed feature window for one approved, published opportunity. There is no recurring charge and the placement ends automatically when the window closes.

2. Featured is not an endorsement

Buying placement does not change how a listing was reviewed and does not mean CoffeeMode recommends it. It increases visibility only.

3. Labelling and disclosure

Every paid placement carries a visible "Featured" label wherever it appears — homepage rails, Explore results and the listing page itself.

4. CoffeeMode Pick is separate

A CoffeeMode Pick is chosen by our editors on merit. Picks cannot be bought, and buying featuring never makes a listing a Pick.

5. Eligibility

Only opportunities that have passed review and are published, not archived and not expired can be featured. Listings that violate the submission guidelines are not eligible.

6. Placement benefits

Featured listings appear in the featured rail on the homepage and are surfaced ahead of unfeatured listings in the default Explore ordering, for the duration purchased.

7. Duration and dates

You choose a duration and a start date at purchase. The window you review before payment — the exact start and end dates — is the window fulfilled. We do not silently shift purchased dates.

One active or scheduled feature window per opportunity per placement at a time. Consecutive windows are allowed. If a window becomes unavailable between checkout and payment confirmation, the order is flagged for support, no placement is created, and we contact you to reschedule or refund.

8. Plus member discount

Active CoffeeMode Plus members pay a discounted rate on featured placement. The discounted price is shown before checkout and is calculated server-side from your subscription state.

9. No performance guarantees

CoffeeMode does not guarantee impressions, clicks, applications, qualified participants or revenue. Results depend on the opportunity itself and on audience demand.

10. Pausing or revoking placement

We may pause or revoke a featured placement that breaches these policies, the Community Guidelines or the Submission Guidelines. Placement revoked for a policy violation is not refunded.

11. Expired, removed or rejected opportunities

If an opportunity expires or is removed during its feature window, the placement ends. Where removal is caused by CoffeeMode rather than the advertiser, we refund the unused portion of the window.

12. Payment processing

Featured placement is charged once through Stripe Checkout. Pricing and the price identifier are resolved server-side; the browser only sends the opportunity, the duration and the start date.

14. Policy changes

We may update this policy. Placements already purchased are fulfilled under the policy in effect at the time of purchase.
