1. What we use

"Cookies" here also covers equivalent browser storage such as localStorage, which our authentication client uses to keep you signed in.

2. Essential authentication storage

Keeps you signed in between visits and refreshes your session. Without it, account pages, saved items and purchases cannot work.

3. Security storage

Used to protect sign-in and checkout flows against abuse and replay, and to de-duplicate listing events for signed-out visitors via a random session identifier.

4. Preference storage

Remembers interface choices such as filters and view state so the product behaves predictably between visits.

5. Analytics cookies

CoffeeMode does not currently run third-party analytics cookies. Listing view and Apply-click counts are first-party measurement recorded server-side against a one-way hashed visitor key, reported only in aggregate, and never used to build advertising profiles or shared with ad vendors. If we introduce analytics cookies, this page will be updated first and a consent control will be added.

Using Apply sends you to the provider's own website through a CoffeeMode redirect so the click can be counted. We do not follow you onto that site and we place nothing on it.

6. Advertising cookies

Where display advertising is enabled, Google AdSense and its partners may set advertising cookies or use device identifiers to serve, cap and measure ads. No advertising code is loaded until you record an advertising choice, and none is loaded at all for CoffeeMode Plus members or administrators. Choosing "Essential only" limits requests to non-personalized advertising.

Paid featured placement is sold directly through the platform and does not involve an ad network.

7. Controlling cookies

You can clear or block cookies and site storage in your browser settings. Blocking essential storage will sign you out and prevent account features from working.
